Review: When faced with the daunting task of reviewing the latest offering from the godfathers of one of the world???s most successful genres it???s difficult not to be intimidated and feel forced in to being positive, so I???m here to tell you that I found it extremely difficult to get in to the plastic wrapping of Public Enemy???s first studio album in almost six years.  Disappointing. 

Music wise though PE have lost none of their political posturing nor way with music and words through dear old Flav???s appearance on Five???s dreadful reality show The Farm nor through age and New Whirl Order is as fresh as any new release whilst also clearly bearing the hallmark of the 80s??? NY classics.  It???s rare these days for Hip Hop to defy genre and appeal to a wide audience but perhaps Public Enemy are back with more fabulous tunes to prove that there???s more to it than saying your own name an awful lot and drinking Cristal.  Also includes a DVD featuring documentaries, videos and more ??? now that???s what we call value for money.

Aptly titled, 'New Whirl Odor', Public Enemy are back with the beats and the agenda that matters. Chuck D, Professor Griff and Flavor Flav are united again with a common cause. As America goes to hell in a bucket and bling culture spirals out of control, Public Enemy have never been more relevant.
