The Ivy House recently introduced Harvey's Sussex Bitter. A lovely drop of real ale.

The Ivy house plays host to Pull The Other One Comedy Cabaret. Thursday Dec 18th 8:30
Headline act is Nick Revell, with The Great Voltini and Nurse Electra who do amazing things with static electricity. MC for the night is Pierette Socobas with much help from DJ Ratsmilk Martin Soan and Frank Sanazi (who has been described as a "militant crooner"). £5 before 8:30pm.
These shows offer a different take on the comedy club scene. Probably unique blend of stand-up, variety and circus side show.

The 13th March was a really great first night for "Pull the other one" comedy and arts. The next is on the 27th and will Headline John Hegley. Please note that the show starts at 8.30 and the doors are open from 7.30 so if you want a seat try to get there before 8pm as it is first come first served. Food available.

I visited the Ivy recently and was very impressed by the function room. It is more like a dance hall with a stage and disco lighting. It can take about 150 people and has a games room that can be used for laying out food. They can provide catering if required and the great thing is, the room is free. It is used for private functions and gigs. You can charge on the door and keep that. They just want bar sales. They also have letting rooms above. These are bedsits with shared facilities.

Attended a wedding at the Ivy House couple of weeks ago.Large function room to rear of bar, with stage and lighting.A very good evening at a very good (and good value at "free to hire") venue. Real fires too. The house policy is apparently toprovide the hall for free , relying on bar sales only. A goodarrangement from the punters view. And the bar is at the normallocal rate: ie much cheaper than across the Dulwich side of Peckham Rye. The buffet they provided was OK as well. They advertise live bands at various times of the week.Friend of mine attended a Salsa class there last week.
